Hiking

Maloskalsko is ideal for hiking due to its dense network of marked trails. You can plan one-day or multi-day trips and explore local natural and cultural attractions. The best way to get to know the region is by walking and being guided by someone who knows it well.

From Kopanina, you can set out, for example, to the Kopanina Lookout Tower, which is just a few minutes' walk away and offers a breathtaking panorama of the Bohemian Paradise. Other places worth visiting include the Pantheon and Vranov Ridge, rock formations Suché Skály, Sokol Hill with the unique rock labyrinth Kalich and Chléviště, or Drábovna near Malá Skála. History enthusiasts will appreciate the ruins of Frýdštejn Castle.

Cycling and Scooter Trips

For lovers of active tourism, there is a scooter rental available right at Kopanina. A popular trip is to the Žlutá Plovárna, which leads through the ruins of Frýdštejn Castle. The route is suitable even for less experienced riders, and at Žlutá Plovárna, you can enjoy sunbathing, volleyball, renting boats, paddleboards, or rafts on the Jizera River.

For the more demanding, a longer route through Dolánky near Turnov is recommended, continuing along the Greenway Jizera cycle path. On the way, you can stop at Pension Křížky for refreshments and continue to Žlutá Plovárna, where you return the scooters. There are also options for swimming, a foot volleyball court, or a rope center.

Canoeing Trips

For adventurers, we offer tips for boat trips on the Jizera River from Malá Skála with the possibility of paddling all the way to Březina. The journey starts at Žlutá Plovárna in Malá Skála. The destination is either in Dolánky near Turnov or at the weir in Březina. Along the way, you can refresh yourself at Pension Křížky or at the bistro in Camp Dolánky.

The return is convenient by train from Dolánky or from the Březina stop, which is only about a kilometer from the destination. For a change, we recommend staying overnight at the Dolánky camp near Turnov, which offers beautiful natural swimming and a pleasant environment.
